Change Management / OverBudgeting :-
If a project is managed well, it is expected to move within budget. At the same time, good project management ensures understanding any spikes in budget well in advance. During the weekly project meetings, if agreed deliverables are not met, the client is told of the problems before hand. At the same time, if the identified problems are due to miscommunications at our end, we will expense our resources to put the project back on track at no cost to the client.
Business changes also lead to delays in the project during the development life cycle. Unless they are controlled with some degree of discipline and correctly managed, they can prove detrimental to the project’s progress and its ultimate success.
The objective of the Change Management and its associated procedures are not to suppress change or to freeze specifications, but rather to provide the opportunity to assess the impact of a recommended change and to make informed decision in light of costs and benefits. Following are the steps taken by Knowledge Architects to ensure delivery in line with change management procedures:
Client raises a Change Request |
Analyze and evaluate the Change request for impact on effort, schedule and cost
Client authorizes implementation of the approved Request |
Plan, Implement and Test the Change |
Release Changed item |
Close Change Request |
